Once there was a duck called Rodney. He lived in a town near a big forest.

Most animals in the town thought Rodney was a clever* duck because 1 could tell the stories of many great writers and even the stars in space. Rodney himself was also proud*of being the cleverest in his town. He 2 asked others for help.

An early kind of music from Austria may not seem like music at all, but it is a kind of singing: yodeling. People use their voice to yodel, without using any instruments like violin or piano. At first, Austrian people used yodeling to call each other between mountains* or to call their animals. It was just a loud*sound without words, but it had different meanings, like "It's time for lunch." Or "I'm near here."

Yodeling developed* into songs in the 19th century. There were yodeling groups singing in theatres and music halls in Austria. Later, people tried to write down the songs. A musician called Toby Reiser traveled through Austria, listened to people yodeling and wrote down all he heard. In the 1930s, people around the world got to know yodeling. American country singer Jimmie Rodgers created "blue yodel" songs and made yodeling part of the country music. Today, people can even hear yodeling in rock music, and it is still loved in countries like Britain and America.

The singing of yodeling is special because it repeats* a high-low-high-low sound. Everyone can yodel. Yodeling is not about singing perfectly, but being loud. To try it, you can just find a room and sing "Little-old-lady-WHO!" Begin with "little old lady" in your chest voice*, and then jump up to your head voice to sing "who". You will soon know what it means to "feel the yodel".

Next time you are on a mountain top, try yodeling! It's a wonderful feeling and can bring you a lot of fun!

Our family had lived in Los Angeles for two weeks. "LA is not a bad place, Sonny." Dad said. But I didn't like the city. I missed* Michigan. I missed my old friends and even the trees there.

That afternoon, I went out to find a basketball court*. Dad said there was one around, but it was twenty-minutes' walk away! When I got there, I saw three children playing some kind of one-on-one*. Two of them were taller than me, and one was about my size.

The short boy played well, but the other two were too tall for him. One-on-one wasn't his game. He needed someone to pass to. I went down to the other basket and played alone. Then I heard someone calling me. It was the short boy.

"I'm Louie. Are you coming to join us? Small against* tall."

"Sounds good." I thought for some time. "I'm Sonny."

Louie introduced the other two boys. They were Chuck and David. We nodded to each other and started the game. Like I said, Louie really was a good player. He just needed someone to pass to. Soon, Chuck and David found    ▲   . The score was always close. Both teams had to try our best. In the end, Louie and I didn't win the game, but we made it interesting.

A little later, I saw Dad come. I said goodbye to them.

"Coming back tomorrow?" asked Louie.

"Yeah."

The sun was going down behind pink and orange clouds. On the way back home, Dad said, "Who said Los Angeles doesn't have great sunsets*?"

"LA is not a bad place." I said. Now, it could be home.

A: Hi, Daming. Did you meet the Indian student yesterday?

B: Yes, Tony. I showed him around the school.  

A: What was it?

B: I invited him to have lunch.   So I took him to the playground.

A:    

B: Yes, but I didn't know that before.    

A: What happened in the end?

B: Well, he told me he was hungry. Then we knew what happened and we both laughed.

A:     You will do better next time.

B: That's a good idea. Thanks.

Welcome to this short tour of Montmartre. Montmartre is an old (村庄)in the north of Paris. From here,I'm sure you will learn sspecial about Paris.

Walk out of Abbesses station and across the street is a small (花园)with the famous Wall of Love. On the wall you can find "I love you" in 250 languages. Walk up the street and (放松)yourself at Le Bateau-Lavoir. Many famous artists, such as Picasso, lived and worked here dthe late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Turn right and walk along the street to the Place du Tertre. Every day, hundreds of street artists paint pictures and (卖)them in this square. Opposite the square is the Church of Saint-Pierre. Built in (四月)1147, it is one of the oldest churches in France. After visiting the Church of Saint-Pierre, go to Sacré-Coeur, a big white church on the top of the Montmartre Hill. Standing here, you can see most of Paris on a cday.

Now you will have two hof free time. Maybe you can have a cup of coffee in a café and take a (慢的)walk around. Enjoy yourself and see you later!

In UK, everyone knows James Oliver. He has his special TV show. In the show, he tells people how to make nice food (different). 

James wants people to eat healthy food. In some schools, the food at lunch time isn't healthy. One day, James went to a school to make a TV show    healthy eating habits. He cooked the food with lots of fruit vegetables. At first, students didn't want to eat them  they don't like fruit or vegetables. But after they tasted the food, they     (love) it. After that, food in the school was healthy.
