"I can't find Jack," Mary says. "Our pet is lost."

"We will find him." Paul says. "Jack is a green lizard (蜥蜴). He can't go out of our classroom."

Paul helps Mary look for Jack. Jack isn't under the yellow desks or the blue chairs. Mary goes to the brown bookcase.

"Oh, a brown lizard is on the book." Mary says.

"The lizard is not green. It's not mine. It's a new lizard." Paul says.

Mary says, "Let's put it into Jack's box."

Paul puts the brown lizard into the box with some green leaves (树叶). Oh, what do they see now? They see a green lizard. The brown lizard turns into (变成) a green one.

We use names every day. When we meet a new person, we usually ask, "What's your name?" It's important (重要的) to know a person's name. Names are different all over the world, so it is very difficult to know all names.

In the US, many people have a first name, a middle name and a last name. Parents choose the first names and middle names for their babies. There are names for boys and girls. For example, John, Peter, Tom and Mike are all names for boys. Elizabeth, Bonnie, Susan and Mary are all girls' names. The last name is the family name. Usually, it is the father's family name.

Everything has a name. Names are important.

My daughter Eyen is ten years old. She is in Grade Three in a primary school. She is a cute girl though（虽然）she has some strange ideas sometimes. 

One day she asks me, "Mum, what is your favorite subject?" I think for a while and answer, "It is difficult to tell. I love singing, so music is my favorite. I am good at English and my PE teacher also says I am excellent. Well, I can say I don't like science. But science is important for us, you know. So you must do well in it. What is your favorite subject, Eyen? Tell me something about your subjects, dear."
