We have some interesting and fun things for you this term. On September 21st, we have a school trip 1  the afternoon.

One day, a hungry wolf (狼) is looking for food in the countryside. Luckily (幸运地), he finds a sheepskin (羊皮) on the road.

He quickly runs into a group of sheep when the man is busy looking at the other sheep. In the evening, the man puts the wolf with the sheep in the same house.

In the house, the wolf waits anxiously (焦急地) for the night to eat the sheep. But on that day, the man wants to make a big family dinner. He goes to the house to look for a fat sheep. 

The wolf becomes a big meal on the man's table. All fools (傻瓜) are always fooling themselves at last.

Vincent loves his parents very much. The problem (问题) is, they are always telling him what to do and how he should feel! His father is a great man. He thinks that the most important things are having good 1 , being nice and teaching others how to be good. Vincent's mum is called Anna. She is nice, but has a sad way of 2 life. The group Country Trust is asking for help in testing how healthy our soil (土壤) is. Between March and June this year, the group is hoping for the help of over 10, 000 children. 

Healthy soil has lots of small living things in it. It helps us to grow (种植) food. But it's not just that. Healthy soil is good at taking in and storing water. This helps a lot after heavy rains, or during a long period of time when there is little or no rain.

 ★  More and more people get to know they have to do something. To test soil health in the UK, Country Trust is asking for help. The first thing to do is to get a pair of cotton (棉) shorts. Make sure they are made of cotton. Shorts made from anything else won't do. Find some soil that you can dig (挖) in. That could be at home, in a school garden, a park or even a football field. When you find the soil you want, just dig, put your shorts in, and leave them for eight weeks. If the soil is full of life, it'll begin breaking down your cotton shorts. After two months, dig your shorts back up. The worse they look, the healthier your soil is! People can join in for free on the Country Trust website and then share their findings.

The group hopes that the activity will help people to know a little more about soil. To know how important it is and not just see it as dirt (灰尘). 

Sammie Vance, a seventh grader from US, is a loving girl. When she sees children sitting in the corner and (have) lunch without anyone to talk to, she feels sad. But she is shy and it's really d for her to just walk up and say something.

One day, Vance learns about buddy benches (伙伴长椅). These benches are seats (座位) at a school playground. A lonely (孤独的) child can  (sit) on it. Then others k he or she is in need of a friend. 

She loves this idea. "It would be really cool to have these benches at my school, Vance says. She calls on her teachers and c to bring bottle caps (瓶盖) together. Vance goes to s , parks, even restaurants to get more bottle caps. Her mother also gives a helping hand. She finds a green way to turn the bottle caps into benches.

Vance does the s thing for other schools, too. She also makes a Facebook page so that people can give away bottle caps. She is really happy when she gets bottle caps  Germany, Australia and Israel. She never thinks that people from far away would also be  (interest) in her idea. 

When Vance finishes making 200 benches in schools and other places, she feels like a s. But she is not going to stop.
