In August 30th, 2022, I left China and headed to the UK. It was actually my birthday, and I never imagined this 1 would be one of the best birthday gifts of my life. ChatGPT is just one of the AI tools around the world. You need data centers to do everything on the Internet. There are more than 8,000 data centers around the world. The number is still growing.

AI uses a lot of water to "grow". The world's water may not be enough. Many people don't have enough water to drink. But AI technology helps people. Should we rethink how we use AI?

Yu Boya was very interested in music and he learned music from a good musician, Cheng Lian. In order to make greater improvement, Cheng Lian took him to visit a new teacher, Fang Zichun. Zichun lived on an island in the East Sea. Unluckily, when they arrived, Zichun was away. Cheng Lian left and asked Boya to stay. Boya played his qin while waiting for the teacher.

One day, Boya started to play qin on the boat. While he was playing High Mountains and Flowing Water, a woodcutter, Zhong Ziqi stopped to hear his music. Ziqi closed his eyes and listened carefully. When Boya finished the part about high mountains, Ziqi said: "How wonderful! It sounds like Mount Tai." Boya didn't speak and went on playing. This time the tune (曲调) was different. Ziqi said: "How amazing! It sounded like the great river!" Boya felt very touched and said: "You are the one who knows my heart!" They promised to meet each other the same day next year. Unluckily, Ziqi didn't come because he died some time before. Boya was so sad that he smashed his qin and promised never to play again.

People were deeply touched by the friendship between Boya and Ziqi. Today people will use "high mountains and flowing water" to refer to beautiful music and understanding between friends.

Memory is our ability to learn something and save it. Our memories are important to our ability to understand the world.  There is short-term memory and long-term memory. Your short-term memory saves information for a few seconds or a few minutes.  Long-term memory involves the information you try hard to keep, such as knowledge and happy time with your friends.

Scientists have also found that people memorize things in different ways. Some memorize better with the help of pictures.  If you make the picture big, strange or silly, you will remember it better. Others can memorize better by sounds. If you can put the different kinds of memory methods together, you can make great progress.  It may help you memorize the words. However, you may remember it for a long time if you understand something well.
