Welcome to life in the future! You get up in the morning and look into the mirror. You've recently had a new anti-aging (抗衰老的) treatment, so you look like a 30-year-old person. And many people of your age could live to be 120 now, so at 60 you're not old at all.

Science has also found amazing ways to keep people healthy. Nanotechnology (纳米技术) can help cure (治愈) many illnesses, including cancer. And if any part of your body is unhealthy, you can "grow" a new one in a laboratory (实验室).

On the way to the kitchen, you want to call a friend. Your cell phone is by the window because it gets its energy (电量) from the sun. But you don't need to pick up the phone. You can just touch your jacket sleeve (袖子) to make the call.

It's breakfast time. You reach for the milk, but a voice says, "Don't drink that!" Your fridge knows the milk is old, and tells the supermarket to replace it. Ten minutes later, it's delivered (递送) by a drone (无人机).

As you leave for work, the lights turn off by themselves. Your home goes into "sleep" mode (模式) to save energy.

Will all this come true? Perhaps the future is much closer than we think. 

Do you know how to cook dishes, clean your house or grow plants? Now, students from primary and middle school have at least one labor skill (劳动技能) class every week. 

Labor education can help people to be happy, active and creative in life. Through such classes, students can also learn the true meaning of labor and the value (价值) of the labor. They can also learn different life skills. 

Some school prepared some interesting labor skill classes for students. Some students from Chongqing had a class about catching fish in the river and learned about the geographical knowledge of the river at the same time. In a city called Fengyi, students made tofu with a millstone (磨盘). Of course, they tasted tofu after they made it. Students said they learned about wisdom of the ancestors (祖先). "How did the ancestors even think about making this kind of food? They were really brilliant (聪明的). " Many of them asked.

Some students learn how to look after animals at home. They also learn the biological (生物学的) knowledge of the animal. Some students learn how to cook a dish in the labor skill class and then cook at home. They may share videos of their cooking with their classmates. It is to share the taste of the delicious food. It is to share the joy of labor, too. 

American boys and girls love watching television. Some children will spend six hours a day at school, then spend another four to six hours in front of the TV set. Some even watch TV for eight hours or more on Saturdays. 

TV shows are like books or films. A child can learn both bad things and good things from them. Some programs help children better understand the world. Others introduce them to people and places from other countries or other times (时代) in history. With TV, a child does not have to go to the zoo to see animals or to the ocean to see a ship. Boys and girls can watch plays, concerts or sports games at home. 

Television brings many places and events into our homes. Some programs show crimes (犯罪) and other things that children shouldn't watch, so parents need to help their kids find other interesting things to do.

Some students don't like math. But others think it is easy and interesting. And here is what you can do.

Listen well in class.

The math teacher knows much. When you listen well, you can know much, too. And you can ask your math teacher for help if you don't know in class.

Your math teacher isn't always with you. When you find a problem is too difficult, you can ask your classmate, too. A classmate is a good friend.

Practice it every day.

Do you want to be good at math? It needs time. You can't learn it well in a day. Math is a great subject. Let's learn it well.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Every child has an answer to this question. But it's not an easy job to make their 1 come true.

It cost $258. That's too expensive! I think it is the most expensive in this store. Then we went to another clothes store. This store is cheaper than the first one. I bought a green T-shirt and Jack bought his sport shoes, it take us just about $50. Finally, we went home. I enjoyed having a good time with my friends.
