My name is Robinson Crusoe, and I was born in the city of York in 1632. My father was a successful businessman. I had two elder brothers. One of them worked in the army(军队) and was killed during the war against Spain. The other was missing one day, and we never knew what had happened to him. My father gave me a good education and wanted me to be a lawyer(律师). 

However, I wanted to be a sailor(海员) and go to sea. My father was very angry with me. He didn't understand why I wanted to leave his house, where I would have an easy and comfortable life.

"Two kinds of people go to sea, " he said. "They are the very poor people and the very rich people. The poor are foolish, having no other ways to live. The rich own ships and can make money with them. You are neither too poor nor too rich, so you should stay at home with your mother and me. Your elder brother didn't listen to me, and now he is dead. If you do not listen to me, you will have a difficult life!"

I tried to do what he wanted me to do, but I couldn't. I spoke to my mother.

"Please ask Dad if he will let me have one voyage(航行) by sea, " I asked her. "When I return, I will live the life he wants me to live. "

When we are in the wild, we find that water is important for us to live. There are many ways to get some clean water. For example, if there is fire and enough water, the best way is to boil the water. But in many cases, there doesn't seem to be any safe water available.

What will our life be like in 50 years? No one knows the answer exactly (确切地), but we are sure that it will be very different from the life today. My brother Jill White makes some predictions. 

First, people will have less work to do, and robots will do most work. People will use robots to make cars, do the housework, look after sick people and teach students.  So people will become stronger and healthier, and they will live to be about 200 years old. 

Second, cars will become very small and computers will control (控制) their speed.  Planes will be very popular and most people would like to take them to travel. 

Third, people will be able to live in the sea, on the moon or on Mars.  So there will be much space for people to plant trees. There will be less pollution, and the air will become much fresher. 

Finally, water shortage will become one of the most serious problems. A. The earth won't be crowded or noisy.

Teahouse is one of Lao She's most famous plays. He wrote it in 1957. The play has three acts and shows the lives of common people in China from the end of the nineteenth century to the middle of the twentieth century. It tells us the story of Wang Lifa and the customers of his teahouse in Beijing. It describes the changes in Chinese society (社会) over fifty years. 

Lao She was born in Beijing in 1899. His mother sent him to a teacher's school in 1913. In 1918, he became a head teacher of a primary school. In 1924, Lao She left home and went to England. He taught Chinese at a college (学院) in London and returned to China five years later. He wrote many plays, novels and short stories about people's lives. Lao She is one of the greatest Chinese writers of the twentieth century.

Today Lao She Teahouse in Qianmen is a good place to visit. Visitors can drink tea and eat delicious Beijing food. If you like the Beijing Opera, traditional music or magic shows, you can enjoy them at the teahouse. Lao She Teahouse gives a warm welcome to everyone from all over the world. 

It was the time for the final exams. I didn't take my study 1 this term but I didn't want to do badly in English. So I decided to find 2 way. Finally, I made a small cheat sheet (作弊纸条).

The whole week, I studied really hard and I almost thought I didn't need it. But anyway, I put it in my pocket. 3 the teacher came, I was really nervous. So I put the small cheat sheet carefully under my paper. I didn't use it at all during the exam. But at the end of the exam, when I 4 it back in my pocket, the teacher saw me with it. Students often have a lot of problems and worries. Laura Mills thinks the (worse) thing is to do nothing. She thinks you'll feel worse ifyou don't talk to anyone about your (problem). Laura remembers that she once (lose) her wallet and was afraid to tell her parents about it.

事实上，读书对每个人来说是很必要的, and no one can live without books. "If you are going to get anywhere in life, you have to read a lot of books. " Roald Dahl once said. People always get what they want from the books. When people ask Elon Musk, the founder of Space X, how he learned to build rockets, he says, "I read books. " What do you want to learn from books? Maybe you want to learn how to paint, or speak a new language? Or you want to know how to change your life? No matter（无论）what it is, reading can help.

First, reading    is    good    for    exercising    your    mind. When you are reading. your brain（大脑） is working and it becomes active（积极的）. If we don't exercise our minds too often, they may not give you useful information when necessary.

Reading can help you improve your memory（记忆）, too. When you are reading detective fiction（侦探小说）, for example, you'll find it hard to understand the story ifyou can't remember all the details（细节）, so it is good exercise for your memory. The    more    you    read, the    better memory you will have. 

What's more, reading makes you more confident（自信的）, because reading can make you more knowledgeable（知识渊博的）. If    you    read    more    books, you    will    always    have    something interesting to talk about!
