My arms are shorter than others', but I never think I'm different. I don't think of myself as a "disabled"(残疾) person because I feel like I can do anything I want. With the help of my parents, friends and a special plan for the young people with disabilities, I know how to fight for myself and how to be strong. However, that doesn't mean it is always a piece of cake for me. I also had some bad experiences(经历) such as the way people looked at me, though they were kind.

When I was three, my family moved to New York because there were first-class hospitals. I missed some lessons because of surgeries (外科手术), so I had to work harder than others. When I went to the seventh grade, I got a lot better. I also made some friends and we had a great time together. As classes got harder, life became more difficult for me. I had to spend more time remembering things, taking notes and preparing for tests. Luckily, I never failed any tests. 

When I went into university, I wrote an article about myself for a newspaper. It helped more people know me. Many people wrote to me after reading the article. They thought I was excellent to get over from over 10 surgeries. And I was happy to share my story and make friends with them, too. 

Who was Ruth Hayman? 

She was a lawyer (律师) in South Africa. She fought for black people. In 1968 she moved to England, and was the first person in the field to teach English as a second language. When Ruth died in 1981, some teachers started a charity (慈善机构) in her name.

From 2016 to 2017 we helped hundreds of students from different countries to study lessons such as medicine, English and computing. 

How does the Ruth Haym an Trust help?

Most of the money we give out is for lessons and exams and we also spend some money on books and other things like knives for cooking and scissors for cutting hair. Naima from Somalia learned at the Trust. This helped her to go to university.

We raise(筹集) money by ourselves. Some people give away money to us because they like what we do. We also hold many events(公开活动) such as concerts and sales to raise money. Naima once helped us raise money. She talked about how the Trust helped change her life. To go on helping people like Naima, we need to raise more money. 

How can you help? 

Please help by organizing(组织) a money-raising event in your college or in your neighborhood. 

In 1998, A British scientist ,Kevin Warwick, put a small microchip(微芯片) in his left arm. He used the microchip to turn on lights, work with his computer, and even start the water for his bath. After only nine days, Warwick took the microchip out of his arm. Nine days isn't a long time, but it was enough to give the world very important information. It's possible（可能）to have a microchip in your body.

Many people think that we'll all have microchips one day. There are all kinds of things that a microchip could do. It could be useful for simple, everyday things. You might not have to carry keys, because you could use your microchip to open the door of your home. You might not need paper money, because you could use your microchip to buy things.

A microchip might be able to do more important things. For example, a microchip could have all of your important health information. If you fell ill suddenly and went to the hospital, doctors could read your microchip and learn all of your health history. 

Many people dislike the idea of microchip in their body. They have a lot of worries. Is it safe? Could a microchip make you sick? People are also worried about personal freedom(自由). This is probably the biggest reason why so many people don't agree(同意) on the idea of the microchips. Do you want other people and government(政府) to have much information or watch you? For most people the answer is "no". Nobody has microchips in their body yet.

Life is not always perfect, so you should learn to enjoy your life. Try to stay happy most of the time, because it can help you live healthier and longer. Here are some ways to help you live your life more happily. 

Write down all the good things. These can make you happier. . Do not try to compare(对比) with others. They might have a bigger house or a more expensive car. Who cares? 

Stay more with your family and friends. . Your life may be very busy, and you don't have to do what others ask you to do each time. Remember to tell your family and friends that you love them. 

. You can go hiking in the mountains to breathe (呼吸) fresh air. It can make you relaxed. You can also go to the beach to enjoy beach volleyball. 

Learn new things. . Read a book or learn more about computers, and that can open your mind to the world. 

. It is also helpful for yourself and others. You make them happier, and you will be the happiest of all. 

If you remember to follow the ideas above, you will have a perfect life. Get ready to enjoy yourself from now on!

That was a sunny day. "Come on, Cody. We're1 !" Dad called. Cody said yes and ran quickly to the living room. He found his2 toy plane on the table. Suddenly he had an idea. "I don't think Quinn will be3 if I take it. He is always nice to me. " he thought. Cody was happy when he, Dad, and Uncle Jeff4 the beach. Cody put down his bag and started running on the beach. Later he took out the plane and played with it.
