Good morning, everyone. Welcome to join our Shanghai day trip in mini group. I am your guide David. Here is the  for today. 

First, I will pick you up in the hotel and drive you to Yu Garden at 10:00 a. m. Before you enter it, remember to show your  at the entrance. Yu Garden is a famous garden built during the Ming and Qing dynasties（1368—1911 AD）（明清时期）. It is a nice place to relax. You will have about one hour to  there. 

Next, you will take a free walk along the old street outside the garden. Walking along the street, you will feel you are back to the busy market of old Shanghai more than 100 years ago. It was an important business street and now it is still a great place for sightseeing, shopping and fun. I  you will enjoy yourself there. There are also many local snacks and nice restaurants. Please have lunch by yourself and try the local food.

Having a net friend can be great in our life. You can talk about your ideas and feelings with other people on the Internet. Before you make a net friend, it' s smart to think about the following things. 

⊙On the Internet, you cannot easily know the real identity of people like what they work as, how old they are, or where they live. So you must be careful and never give your address (地址) or phone number to them if you' re not sure about the real identity of your net friends. 

⊙When using a net friend finding service (服务), never write down your address or phone number. Also, don' t give your e-mail address. Because some bad people can find them very quickly. 

⊙Never answer a message (消息) that gives you a job, money or an invitation, because it' s always a swindle (诈骗). 

⊙Never send money to someone you meet on the Internet. Real friends don' t ask you for money. 

Mrs. White likes sports. She looks short and thin, but she is 1  than any one of her workmates. Her husband likes drinking and spends much money on it. She has to work hard to buy enough food for her family.

" That' s easy, " said Bill. " You' d better go to Harbin, China. Snow and ice are covering (覆盖) the ground now. " 

Mr. Smith b a plane ticket and soon arrived in Harbin. He had a good t there. But one day he got into trouble (麻烦). After lunch he went to watch a fashion show. On the way, he saw a dog following him while he was walking past a house. The dog was hungry and wished him to give it some food to eat. Bad luck! He had no bread or cake in his pockets. He tried to run away. But it began to bark at (对……吠) him. He could find nothing but snow and ice. Suddenly he saw a stone on the ground. He wanted to p it up but failed (失败). 

" How strange (奇怪)! " Mr. Smith said to himself. " People didn' t tie (拴) their dogs, but tied the stones. My God! " 

What I eat

People eat differently every day. A photographer, Peter Menzel travels to many different countries to see what people eat and how they keep healthy. 

Bruce, 23, works on a beach. He' s an Australian lifeguard (救生员). He has different kinds of food. He eats a bowl of yoghurt with a banana for breakfast, and he drinks orange juice. He has a sandwich for lunch and meat and vegetables for dinner. 

Yao is 16. She' s an acrobat (杂技演员) and works in the circus. She lives in China. She wants to keep slim so she eats food with low fat. She has soya milk and fruit for breakfast. For lunch, she has a bowl of rice with meat, eggs, and onions. She doesn' t have dinner because she performs in a show every evening. 

Akbar, 45, is an Indian bread baker. He likes meat very much. He has eggs, salad, and some tea for breakfast. He doesn' t stop working to have lunch. Instead, he has some snacks—some cheese cakes, some tomatoes, and some of his bread. He has a big dinner with meat, rice, yogurt, and some more of his bread at home. But now he finds himself too fat. He wants to change his diet to lose some weight.
