We will have a class trip this Saturday because the weather will be cool. It will be windy in the morning and the weather is just right for flying a kite. 

Do you know the Monkey Buffet Festival in Thailand? It is on the last Sunday of November. It is a great day for monkeys in Thailand. The festival has a history of 35 years. People there think monkeys can bring good luck to them. So, to thank monkeys, they have this special festival. 

On that day every year, people put lots of fruit, vegetables, cakes and even drinks on the tables outside. They are all for monkeys. Many people come to see the monkeys on that day. 

During the festival, there are a lot of interesting activities about monkeys. Young people always dress like monkeys and they sing and dance and play some music on the street. 

Monkeys always live in groups. Most of them live in the trees. They are good at running and jumping. They eat fruit, vegetables, plants and birds'  eggs. Monkeys are clever. Do you think so?

Today is Sunday. It' s 7:00 in the evening here. I' m writing to tell you something about my family' s life. My mother is cooking in the kitchen. My father is watching CCTV news. That' s his favorite program. My brother is playing computer games. My dog Baby is taking the hat to me. He wants me to put it on and go out for a walk with him. What a clever dog! My little sister is practicing playing the piano. It sounds beautiful today. Outside, I can hear cars and buses coming and going quickly. Also there are some boys playing ball games. It' s really a noisy (嘈杂的) but happy evening. Do you think so? What are your family doing? I know the time here is thirteen hours ahead of (提前) that in New York. Are you up? Please write to me soon.

People started to study the weather very early.  Some are still useful. Let' s have a look!

Watch the sky(天空)

  Different kinds of clouds mean different weather. How the clouds move also means different weather. Usually, white and high clouds mean good weather.  Look at the red sky. Your parents may tell you, " Red sky in the morning, don' t go out. Red sky at night, walk for a long time. " Well, this a quite right. 

Look at the birds. Usually, they fly very high in the sky. And this means good weather.  And this means bad weather. Birds also get very quiet before it rains. Look at the turtles. Before bad weather come, they' ll climb to a high place. You can see them on the road 1 to 2 days before it rains. Look at the cows. Sometimes, they will stay together and keep quiet, because bad weather is on the way. 

Linda is a middle school student. She is 12 years old. She is from London. Her parents work in China, so she has to 1  her grandparents in London. Linda' s grandmother is 65 years old. She 2  a newspaper every morning. Linda doesn' t know 3  her grandmother likes doing this so much. She thinks it' s 4  and she never does it. She likes 5 , so she often goes to the zoo with her friends.
