When Hong Liu walks around Zhenlong Primary School in Guangde, Anhui Province, many students greet (和……打招呼) her in English. Some call her Miss Hong while others prefer Apple. 

"I know Apple sounds silly as a name, but it might be the easiest one for the kids to remember," said Hong, the headmaster of the school. Hong joined the school as an English teacher in 2007, and in 2018 she became the headmaster.

With around 1, 000 students, Zhenlong is just a small school in a small place. "But small school can also do big things, right?" Hong said. So far, she has brought three new subjects to the school, such as art, music, science. She thought these new subjects were healthy for children's minds and bodies.

After she finished university, Hong had chances (机会) to go to big cities for better development, but she decided to return to her hometown. She said her hometown was not as rich as big cities, and some families even couldn't afford to send their children to school. In order to better record the exciting moments of the Beijing Winter Olympics, China had developed a series of high-speed cameras. Among them, Lie Bao is the most well-known. 

Lie Bao is developed by China Media Group, especially for broadcasting (播送) speed skating events at Beijing 2022. 

Experts said that during the speed skating race, the athletes (运动员) could reach a speed of 15 to 18 meters per second (秒). The camera should be as fast as the athletes. Lie Bao can reach a speed of 25 meters per second, or 90 kilometers per hour. So it could closely catch the athletes. Although we couldn't go to the National Speed Skating Oval to watch the games, we were able to follow every move of the skaters, including the look on their face.

After the Olympics, the high-speed Lie Bao camera is going to be used in sports training. It can help coaches better record the athletes' moves.

Shenzhou XV astronauts have been flying with the Tiangong space station for more than two months. They have carried out their first spacewalk. 

On February 9 Thursday, Fei Junlong and ZhangLu finished a seven—hour space walk. They returned to the station the next morning. At that time, the third, Deng Qingming stayed inside to provide（提供）service and some work. During it, Fei and Zhang finished several tasks（任务）. This was the first space walk since the station started work at the end of 2022. 

What's more, they have started to install equipment（安装设备）outside the station. It's reported that Fei and Zhang made a lot of movements（动作）around all the stations' three main parts during the space walk. In fact, it's also a kind of danger, because they might face many risks.

This was the first spacewalk for Fei and Zhang. It asked them to make many moves while wearing heavy space clothes. Although it was never easy, they were very glad to finish it successfully.

There was once a violinist. He said he was not afraid of dangerous animals. He said in a proud (骄傲) way, "Even a bear would be as quiet as the friendliest cat when hearing my music." But he had never played, and no one believed him.

A chance (机会) to show his words arrived just when a circus (马戏团) came to the town. The musician came to the ringmaster (领班) and told what he could do. 

"Wow, that's interesting." The ringmaster said. "We just have three new lions and they haven't worked with the lion tamer (驯兽师) yet. Let's see what you can do with them." The violinist agreed and the whole town crowded the hall to see what would happen.

The violinist was standing quietly in the center of the ring with a smile. Then the ringmaster opened the door of the cage (笼子) and a huge lion jumped out angrily, shouting and showing his teeth. Everyone was too nervous to breathe.

Still with the smile, the violinist began to play. The beautiful music rose, then the lion sat down and began to enjoy the music. Everyone lost themselves in the music. The lion did, too. For the second lion, ____.

Then it's the third lion's turn to appear and everyone there was waiting for the lion to be quiet just like the other two. But the lion ran up to the man and attacked (袭击) him.

All the people were surprised. The other two lions asked angrily, "What have you done? We were enjoying the music!" The third lion put his paw (爪子) to its ear and said, "Sorry, I can't hear you. I have been deaf for 5 years."

A young man couldn't fall asleep (入睡) at night. He was very worried. One day he went to see a doctor. The doctor checked him over carefully. But nothing was wrong with him. The doctor told him to count from one to ten again and again at night. "Keep doing this until you fall asleep," the doctor said.

After a few days, the young man came to the doctor again. But he was surprised that the young man was even worse than before. "Didn't you count as I told you?" the doctor asked. "Yes, I did," the young man answered. "But every time when I reached eight, I couldn't help jumping from the bed." "But why?" the doctor asked. The young man said, "I am a boxer (拳击运动员)."
