The two kids9 the old man and walk to the sports hall.  They finally get there.  The10 will start in five minutes.  They are so lucky.  

It 's a hot summer and there is no rain. A crow (乌鸦) lives.  in a big tree near a village.  He has no parents or friends.  One day, he feels very thirsty. "Oh, I must find some water! I am too thirsty.  Where can I find water? "

The crow flies to a house in the village.  Outside the house, he sees a vase (花瓶) with some water.  However, there is only a little bit of water.  So he can't drink it.  

The crow doesn't know what to do. He begins to cry,  "Who can help me? I need help! " He cries and cries, but no one hears him.  He is tired and he wants to do something.  The crow tries to put the vase down, but he is not strong enough to do that.  Then, he has a good idea.  He goes to find some little stones.  He comes back and puts the stones into the vase.  At last, the crow can drink the water! 

"What nice water!" says the crow. "I am happy I do not waste (浪费) all my time crying." 

He is a clever crow.  We all know the name of the story is The Crow Drinking Water.  We like the story.  It tells us when we are in trouble, we should think it over and try our best to solve it.

The first piece of the International Space Station (ISS) went into space in 1998. The ISS has worked for over 20 years. More than 200 astronauts from 19 countries have worked there and done research there. It is old now. Around the year 2031, it will fall to Earth and "sleep" forever.

The place for it to "sleep" is Point Nemo (尼莫点). It is about halfway between New Zealand and Chile, in the southern Pacific Ocean. It is named after Captain Nemo from Jules Verne's novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. "Nemo" also means "no one" in Latin (拉丁语). It is the furthest place from land. The closest humans to Point Nemo are often astronauts in space. There aren't many animals either, because the water has poor nutrients (营养物). This makes it safe to drop old spacecraft (航天器) there.

Since 1971, the United States, Russia, Japan and European countries have been using Point Nemo for dropping their old spacecraft. More than 263 pieces of space junk are there now. People call it the "space graveyard (墓地)".

Jennifer White is a school bus driver (司机).  This is a day of Jennifer. 

At 6:00 a. m.  Jennifer gets up and gets dressed.  She doesn't take a shower in the morning.  She only washes her face and brushes her teeth before breakfast.  At 6:40 she has breakfast with her family.  There are 4 people in her family—Jennifer, her husband and their two children. 

At 7:30 a. m.  Jennifer sends (送) her children to school.  Then she cleans the school bus.  She often finds some school things on the bus, such as pencils, books rulers and so on.  Jennifer thinks her work is not busy.  She has much time to do other things.  She likes it. 

At 5:00 p. m.  Jennifer gets home.  After dinner, she usually exercises at 7:30.  She either runs or takes a walk.  Jennifer usually goes to bed at 9:45 p. m.
