Dick was a clever boy from a poor family. Although he had to work in his spare time and 1 his holidays to pay for his education, he managed to get to the university. However, it was so 2 to study there that he found it necessary to get two jobs at the same time during the holidays. He wanted to make enough money to pay for 3 studies. One summer he managed to get two jobs. One was in a 4 shop that sells meat during the daytime. The other 5 in a hospital at night. Marge Moore is a school bus driver. She has worked for the public schools in Virginia Beach for 50 years, and she still 1  the job!

Your beloved pet may be hurting your sleep, new research finds. 

Though pets can be helpful for health, pet owner was likely to have poorer sleep, according to a study. 

The researchers corrected factors that could influence sleep, including race （种族）and income （收入） , as well as age, gender （性别）and BMI, and focused on whether a person had a sleep disorder and whether a person had a cat or a dog. 

The findings showed that having a dog was connected with a greater chance of having a sleep disorder and having trouble sleeping, while having a cat was connected with having a higher chance of leg jerks （抽搐）in the night. "The age of the pet has a big influence on whether or not they keep you up at night, " van Egmond said. "If you have many pets, they can egg each other on. "

With dogs, it depends a lot on the kind and the activity level it needs. Making sure a pet gets plenty of physical activities and mental stimulation （朿!| 激）during the day can help animals—and their owners—get better rest. 

Unlike dogs, cats are more active at night and it is easier to use up their energy. If you play with your cat before it is ready for bed, you would make it hard for cats to fall asleep. If you feed your cat after playing with it, your cat would feel that it has successfully hunted its food and is rewarded with a nice meal in return. Then it goes to sleep quickly. 

The new study shows that pets can influence your sleep, but we have to really think about that pets are much more than a pet in our family. 

Creating paintings with different kinds of grain is known as grain painting. It has made  small village in Hebei Province popular and opens a way for this village to sell products. 

Shoudong Village in Hebei Province developed 11 grain painting companies four workshops. " It has up the country's first school to teach the art, " the local government said.

 to the records, local people have been creating paintings with grain  the Tang Dynasty （618 — 907 ）. They use different kinds of grain and seeds as materials in different steps, including sticking and cutting. Their are rich with views, characters, flowers and birds in a special way. 

Many local people make more  by grain painting. The post-80s Shi Xianqiao, who has been   in painting since childhood, began to create paintings with grain in 2014. She also built a grain painting workshop to help the local . Their products are   at home and abroad. The grain art gives people new ideas towards nature and life. 

A 15-second video of a security guard （保安）broadcasting in two languages at the Heihu Spring scenic area in Jinan, Shandong Province, went hot recently. 

With a slight local accent （口音）, he said both in Mandarin and English "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Heihu Spring scenic area " and " May you have a wonderful time here". Tourists were amazed by the broadcast and praised his efforts.

The 56-year-old guard, Zhang Shoujun, is from Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province. Zhang has been interested in English since middle school and he learned it very well. What's more, he worked as an English teacher in a junior high school from 1987 to 1993. He lives and works in Shandong Province at the moment. Zhang was surprised by the attention he received online, and feels proud to be able to offer help to foreign tourists. 

Although Zhang said he is just an ordinary security guard, his lifelong learning attitude is certainly worthy of learning. He spends lots of time in learning and tries his best to do well in his job. " I will continue to provide broadcasts in two languages, and I hope to help with the development of tourism of the Heihu Spring and to show all the beauty of Jinan and its people to the tourists, " said Zhang.
