Jay is a middle school student, but he is not happy every day. He stays at school from Monday to Saturday. At school there are a lot of rules. He has to wear his school uniform every day. He has to get up at 6: 10 in the morning. Jay doesn't like sports, but he has to do morning exercise every day. In the classroom, he can't listen to music, talk loudly(大声地)or eat snacks(小吃), He has to do lots of homework every day.

Jay can go back home on Sunday, but he still doesn't have fun because his parents ask him to do lots of things. He can't meet friends on Sunday. He has to get up early on Sunday morning to practice English, then he has to make the bed, clean the room and wash clothes. In the afternoon he has to go to the Children's Palace(少年宫)to learn drawing. He can't watch TV because he has to do homework in the evening. So Jay thinks he never has fun.

A little mouse(老鼠) feels very terrible, because she can't find any food. She lives a bad life, She looks here and there, but she always has no food to eat, and she becomes very thin(瘦的). At last, the mouse finds a basket( 篮子), full of food. There is a small hole(洞)in the basket, and she can just get through(通过) the hole. she gets into the basket happily.

Then she starts to eat, She is so hungry that she eats a lot, and she becomes fat. After a while, she tries to get out of the basket, but she can't. She is too fat to get through the hole.

"Oh, how can I get out?" says the mouse.

Just then an old mouse comes along, and he sees the little mouse.

"Greedy(贪婪的) mouse," says the old mouse, "if you want to get out of the basket, you have to wait to become thin again in the basket." Then he leaves.

Do you like walking? A 13-year-old girl named Jenny likes walking very much. She likes walking because she thinks it is good for her health. "It's about 6 kilometers from my home to school. I get up at 6:00 every morning. After having breakfast, I walk to school. I can enjoy the beautiful scenery on the way. I feel very happy. The holiday is the best time for you to read some good books. Borrow(借进) educational （教育的） books from the library and read them. You can also write what you feel after reading them. It's good for your study.
