There's that old saying: How you do one thing is how you do everything. Therefore, as you become more kind and caring, it shows in everything that you do, even when playing music.

I recently went to a jam session (即兴演奏)with some other musicians in town, many of whom I was meeting for the first time. When I used to jam with other musicians, I spent more time in my head thinking about my drumming instead of actually paying attention to what was going on. This time, though, I found that I was more attentive and was able to support the other musicians more through my playing.

Because of this, our music was better than ever before, and I could feel the audience was enjoying the music more too, because the music was no longer about me, it was about all of us connecting through the universal language of music.

Afterwards, the musicians I played with told me they felt like our hearts were connected while playing, and that we were able to achieve a new level of playing together thanks to our collected approach. When playing, there was no self. There was just us sharing ourselves with our open hearts.

I believe that the best musicians in the world have this in common: to see past their own selves and to listen to or connect with their audience and fellow musicians. I've realized all of this thanks to my practice of being a more kind and caring person.

So, I would like to thank everyone on this website for opening your hearts and showing me about how to be a more caring person. As I grow into a more kind and caring person, I can now not only bring joy to those in my daily life, but also to those who listen, through my music.

The way students spend their weekends can be different—some may enjoy going out and partying, and others would prefer staying in with friends and family watching a movie.

Going out can seem like the main thing that happens during the weekend. But not everyone is into that—some students study or stay in with friends, and others simply just don't go out because it is not their type of thing. If you are one of those people who decides to stay in, you probably know the feeling of being the "lame (差劲的) friend. "This leads to feeling bad about yourself and feeling like a buzzkill.

When students feel this way, they can also feel pressured into doing something that they originally did not want to do. Just because a person does not want to go out to party and drink does not mean that they are lame—they just have a different idea of a fun weekend. I have never been pressured into going out, but I do catch myself wondering sometimes why people choose to stay in the library instead of going home and watching a movie.

I don't think we should assume that everyone needs to go out during the weekend in order to have fun, and the social pressure to do so can be terrible. We should keep in mind that individuals are going through their own personal situations, and everyone has their own reasons for not going out. Staying in and watching a movie by yourself or with friends is not a bad thing, and people should normalize that not going out on the weekends is really not the worst thing.

I remember watching "Where the Crawdads Sing" with some friends one enjoyable and relaxing weekend. This type of environment didn't make me feel pressured into doing anything because someone else was doing it.

Recently, a team of researchers in Oxford University found that creating fuel(燃料)for planes out of CO₂ could soon be a reality.

The process uses cheap iron as a material to catch CO₂ from the air and turns it into fuel for planes. The researchers have described their discovery a "significant social progress" in how the plentiful greenhouse gas(CO₂) is turned into fuel and its potential to make flying more environmentally acceptable.

Aviation(航空)is a large and growing contributor to the greenhouse effect. It contributes around 10 per cent of the UK's greenhouse gas emissions(排放). Flying has as a result become an environmental battleground-with environmentalists strongly against expansion of air travel-for increasing CO₂ emissions.

The UK, by law, is determined to get to "zero" carbon emissions by 2050, so a new form of carbon fuel must be found. The problem for aviation is that its fuel breaks down and gives off CO₂ and water, and both of them are sent out into the atmosphere.

However, the new technique would catch the gas in the air and create fuel, without the need of filling up with new fuel from the ground. CO₂ is highly stable(稳定的), but the researchers managed to turn it back into fuel by using a chemical change powered by an iron-based material-at low temperatures-and adding hydrogen(H₂).

Professor Edwards said the achievement could put Britain at a leading level of a new green industry He expected it could increase production in two to three years and the team is in discussion with UK industries to set up a factory to put it into production. "Our plan is that the world can see that CO₂ can be used as energy carrier to enable aviation to last. " he said.

One of the biggest causes of back injury at work is lifting or handling objects incorrectly, and many people have ever experienced such cases now and then while dealing with heavy objects.

Aminah was sad every day. Her mother had run off with a man she met at her workplace last year. Her father was depressed (沮丧的). He nearly broke down. Many a night he would come back crying out, "Why, why did she leave me?" So depressed was he that he lost himself in wine and Aminah often became the unfortunate victim (受害者) of his anger and depression. While at school, her classmates often made fun of her failing grades.

One day, her patience ran out, and she decided to leave home. "Where?" she wondered. She did not know. All she knew was that she had to get away from it all: a horrible father and school.
