As she got older, Jiang went to a standard primary school. She said it was difficult at first. After graduating with a master's degree in medicine in 2018, Jiang started her studies at Tsinghua University(清华大学). At the end of this year, the 30-year-old will receive her doctorate(博士学位).

They can happen any time of a day, at any point during the year. But don't worry because most are so weak that they cannot be felt. Only a few big ones hurt people. However, it's important to know what to do when an earthquake is happening.
Do not go outside. You could get injured from falling glass or parts of buildings. If you are outside, stay away from buildings and power lines (输电线).
Stay under a desk, table, or other strong furniture. Hold on to it. Or stay in a corner of the building. Cover your face and head with your arms and cover your mouth with a towel or clothing. Stay inside until shaking stops and it is safe to go outside.
Keep away from windows, pictures or advertisements on the wall or the building, and anything else that could fall and hurt you. Most people get injured by falling things during an earthquake, not by the shaking itself.
Also keep away from a fire. You could fall down and burn yourself on the fire.
If you are driving when an earthquake happens, stop the car if it's safe. Stay inside your car until the earthquake stops, and don't drive near bridges. Try not to stop by power lines or trees. These could fall and hurt you.

But when bad things happen, optimistic people are less likely to be unhappy about themselves and more likely to see the bad things as something that lasts a short time.
A new research has found a direct connection between optimism and healthier diet and exercise behaviors, as well as better heart health, a stronger immune system (免疫系统), better lung function, and lower death risk. "Optimistic people, regardless of sex, often have goals and the confidence to reach them," Lee said. "Those goals could include healthy habits that contribute to a longer life."
Studies find only about 25% of our optimism is controlled by our genes (基因), and the rest is up to us. It turns out we can actually train our brain to be more positive. Researchers studied the brains of monks (僧侣) and found surprising results: Tens of thousands of hours of meditation(冥思) had changed the function (机能) of their brains, which support positive qualities. And that may be key in producing the effect on the body.
There are simple mental exercises to develop an optimistic attitude. One of the most effective ways to increase optimism is called the "Best Possible Self" method. That is to imagine ourselves in a future in which we have achieved all our life goals. And keeping a diary in which we list the positive experiences we had can also help shape our attitude. Taking a few minutes each day to write down what makes us thankful can improve our view on life, too.
(1)、What is the meaning of Lee's words?A、Goals can lead to confidence. B、Better lung function lowers death risk. C、Optimism is connected with length of life. D、Sex should be taken into consideration when studying optimism.(2)、Why are the brains of monks studied?A、To lengthen their life. B、To improve their brains' function. C、To prove optimism can be learned. D、To show genes' connection with optimism.(3)、Where is this text most likely from?A、A science magazine. B、A guidebook. C、A novel. D、A diary.27. 阅读理解Climate change is a global challenge. One way to fight it is by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide in the air. New research shows that trees planted in China have helped in this fight.
A recent study in the journal Nature shows that the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed (吸收) by new forests in two parts of China is more than we thought. These areas are in the northeastern Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces and the southwestern Yunnan and Guizhou provinces and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. They make up about 35 percent of China's land-based (基于陆地的) carbon sinks (碳汇). A carbon sink is a natural area like a forest or ocean that absorbs more-carbon dioxide than it emits (排放). Carbon sinks help to reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.
China's goal is to peak (达到峰值) its CO2 emissions (排放) before 2030 and reach carbon neutrality (中和) by 2060, Xinhua reported. Carbon neutrality refers to removing as much CO2 as one puts into the air.
According to study co-author Yi Liu at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, "the afforestation (植树造林) activities described in our Nature paper will play a role in reaching that goal. "
(1)、A recent study in Nature shows that ________.A、China has serious air pollution B、China has planted the most trees in the world C、China has fewer CO2 emissions (排放) now D、China has planted fewer trees(2)、According to Xinhua, China ________.A、is the world's largest emitter of CO2 B、will bring CO2 emissions down after 2030 C、will not release CO2 in the future D、will reach carbon neutrality by 2030(3)、Which of the following is NOT TRUE in the passage?A、One way to fight climate is by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide in the air. D、35 percent of China's land has been affected by CO2 emission.(4)、What do we know from the story?A、It takes a long time for carbon sinks to form. B、Climate change is no longer a serious problem. C、More trees will be planted in China in the future. D、China has beaten climate change.28. 阅读下面短文,并用英语回答问题(请注意每小题后面的词数要求)Sagarika Sriram was 10 years old when she started reading newspaper stories.
