"A cute doglephant! Cool! You just turned the accident into a happy one!" I said. And right then, I knew 9 to do. Maybe I could make a mosaic (镶嵌画) by using the pieces of my broken heart.

When it was all done, everyone thought it was pretty cool. Yes, my present didn't turn out the way I'd planned, but it turned out even 10 !

It is believed in some ways that the daughter is father's lover. But my experience has taught me in a different way. For a long time, my father has been a very vague figure(模糊印象) to me.

He was a man of few words, tall but slim and nothing else. When I was in a primary school, my father was never there to pick me up, and be never came to any of my parent-teacher meetings. He was always busy doing projects. I remember when I was in a middle school and my bead was badly hurt in a PE class. During my operation, my father was nowhere to be found. This hurt me most. At that moment, I considered my father as a cold-blooded man who did not care about me at all.

But things seemed different at my high school graduation ceremony. Where I was chosen to represent my class and give a speech. My father, once again, told me he had a business trip in a place outside the city and would be unable to show up "Don't come. I will be nervous if I see you." I told him.

I remember my speech went smoothly. After the ceremony was over and I was about 1o leave. I suddenly noticed a familiar(熟悉的)looking man sitting in a corner of the hall. It was my father! I was so surprised that I rushed to him with tears running down nay face.

"Well done," he said. His eyes were also filled with tears.

Later, I found out that my father had managed to finish his work by staying up late. And he drove for eight hours to get back. He had been sitting in the corner because he didn't want me to see him. My father remembered every word in my speech.

For much of my life, I described my father was a cold- blooded man who only eared about his work. But when I thought deeply about this, it was obviously(明显地) not true. At my graduation ceremony I could feel my father's deep love. The fact is that seeing is not believing, and seeing may not be the fact if we don't perceive(感知) the world with our hearts and minds. There's no doubt that life doesn't lack(缺少)love, but sometimes our eyes have trouble seeing it.

People depend on plants. We use plants for food, cloth, shelter (住处). and even the air we breathe (呼吸).

Plants keep our air anti water clean. Green plants give us oxygen. Oxygen is part of the air we breathe.

Plants are also part of the water cycle (水循环)．Most of the water that a plant takes in goes back into tile air.

Plants give us a lot of the food on the earth. Fruits, vegetables, and grains(谷物) come from plants. Without plants, we should not have bread, rice, carrots, apples, oranges, or bananas! Many people are growing plants to eat in their own gardens at home. Having your own garden helps the earth as well.

When you grow your own fruits and vegetables, you help cut down on pollution because big trucks don't need to take your food to shops. You also help reduce the amount of rubbish because you don't need to use bags for packing your food. You can just pick it nut of the ground or off a plant and put it into a basket!

Trees are an important plant resource(资源)．Trees provide wood to build homes and furniture. Trees are used to make lots of things around your home and at your school. And trees provide fruits that are good for you. Without trees, the earth would be a very different place.

It is said that about half of the people in China smoke. Many young boys and girls have the habit of smoking, though they are middle school students.

More and more people have come to realize how serious this problem is.  But they are never bored with it. Some people think it is a kind of fashion, some think it is of great fun and others think that smoking can refresh themselves.

Smoking causes many illnesses. A lot of people always cough because of smoking. The most serious illness caused by smoking is lung cancer. At the same time smoking is a waste of money. Besides, careless smokers may cause dangerous fires.

As we all know, smoking does great harm to human beings. In order to keep healthy, we should get rid of the bad habit of smoking. Please stop smoking at once.

I still remember the lesson nay father hits taught me. I learned from some of (student) that lying is the easiest way out of any situation. So I became fond of lying. When my mother warned me against telling lies, I turned nay back on (she). Then, I said that "Lies never harm anyone!" my father wanted me to understand that lying was bad. One evening, my father and I were walking down the (five) avenue(大街). Just then, we saw car rushed into a bookstore. My father asked a marl what happened and he replied. "The car driver (lie) to his father! He said he could see glasses." They were both (sit) in the car when the accident happened. The father was (serious) hurt." Then my father touched my head softly." See, dear, a lie is really (harm)! It cat hurt people!" l realized the huge cost of a lie and stopped lying from that day on.
