I am a boy in South Korea. My English name is Tony. Recently (最近), a 1 named Engkey became my new teacher.

Three days ago, I went to my college. I got on the bus and sat near a window. Later, the bus stopped on a traffic light. I looked out through the window. Then I saw an old man was crossing the road. There wasn't any policeman there. A boy was coming and he was riding his bike very quickly. He did not see the light or the old man. He kept riding. When he saw the old man, he tried to slow down his bike. But it was too late. He knocked the old man down heavily. The boy also fell down and his head touched the road. His helmet (头盔)was broken but his head wasn't hurt seriously. Both of them couldn't get up. A larger crowd of people came around and someone tried to help, but no one did any useful job. The road was so crowded. At that time I heard the sound of an ambulance (救护车). Then I saw some doctors take them to hospital.

The next day, I read the newspaper and it said that the old man died on the way to the hospital. The boy was saved in time. I was sad. We all know that we can stop some accidents (事故) from happening if we follow the traffic rules.

What will our life be like in 50 years? No one knows the answer exactly (确切地), but we are sure that it will be very different from the life today. My brother Jill White makes some predictions. Here are some of his ideas.

First, people will have less work to do, and robots will do most work. People will use robots to make cars, do the housework, look after sick people and teach students. People will spend most of their time playing sports and traveling. So people will become stronger and healthier, and they will live to be about 200 years old.

Second, cars will become very small and computers will control (控制) their speed. So there will be fewer accidents ) on the road. Planes will be very popular, and most people would like to take them to travel.

Third, people will be able to live in the sea, on the moon or on Mars. The earth won't be crowded or noisy. So there will be much space for people to plant trees. There will be less pollution, and the air will become much fresher.

Finally, water shortage will become one of the most serious problems. If people don't save water now, there will be water wars (战争）in 50 years.

The earth is worse than before because of serious A. p       : air pollution, land (土壤) pollution and water pollution. Irresponsible (不负责任的) people damaged the environment and now we have serious problems. What should humans do to save the earth?

First,we should not make too much rubbish (垃圾). It needs more areas, so there will not be enough space for people to live. The land will then be polluted and fewer plants can grow.

Next, we should keep the sea  and rivers clean. C. 鱼不能在污染的水里存活，so it may be B. i_______ for us to enjoy so much seafood or swim happily in the sea in the future.

Third, everyone should help to keep the air clean. Polluted air is bad for our physical health. So we must stop people and factories from polluting the air.

To make the earth a better place, everyone should learn to love our planet from now on. And everyone should play a part in saving the earth.

They worked like clocks and did the same things  . Now modern robots don't always people. Some are like big machines; others are nothing but long arms attached to boxy(箱子般四四方方的) bodies. However, modern robots are smart. Some can solve(解决) on their own. Their brains are computers and their eyes are sensors(传感器). Motors(发动机) help them  . In the future, robots will learn from their mistakes more than they do now. They will be   . It's  that we will have robot shop assistant, robot house-hold workers, and robot factory workers. Robots will help people to do  things.
