This year I was so worried about where I could have my birthday party. At that time, my aunt me to have my party on her farm with my friends. She helped me a lot with the of the party as well. I believe there wouldn't have been a great party her help.

My friends and I all like my aunt's farm. It was such a fantastic place. The farm was with beautiful flowers. The fragrance (香味) of flowers was so great that everyone felt relaxed. Actor

When kids watch TV or a movie, they often dream of becoming famous actors on the screen. In fact, many actors are not famous and only a few of them can be successful. These actors may work in televisions, films, theaters and so on. Actors do not often work every day and they usually get paid by the acting.

Athlete (运动员)

Many kids hope to become professional (专业的)athletes so that they can play their favorite sports and make a living. Becoming a professional athlete takes a lot of work. Athletes practice for long hours a day with their teammates and trainers (队友和训练员).

Doctors

Some children want to become doctors in order to help others.

Though doctors can make much money, the road to becoming a doctor is hard — a doctor needs to study for at least five years at a college, three years at a medical (医药的) school, and three to eight years of residency (实习期).

Now we can see lots of talent shows on TV, from The Voice of China to Sing My Song and so on. This kind of program is quite popular, especially with young people. It now has great impacts (影响) on their study and life. There are some reasons behind the tide (潮流) . To start with, young people need role models to learn from, so many of them are crazy about the winners in these programs. They often wear and speak the way the winners do. Secondly, young people are finding ways to show off their talents or relax themselves. So many boys and girls are interested in joining in or watch such programs.

Every coin has its two sides. On the one hand, watching the talent show is a good way to relax and to make us happy and excited. On the other hand, as students, however, we should spend more time on our schoolwork. And as you know, it is always expensive to watch a live (现场的) talent show.

Many people like to watch TV. There are all kinds of problems on TV. The soap opera was first on the radio in the 1920s. Then it started on TV in the 1940s.

Why do so many people like to watch soap operas on TV, especially young people? What makes soap operas popular?

First, what's happening in the soap operas is very different from that in our lives. Everything is perfect (完美的) in the play. They don't have money problem.

Second, there are many beautiful girls and handsome boys. They drive young people crazy (疯狂的). They make young people happy.

Third, stories in soap operas are usually interesting. It makes people relax after a day's hard work. Even some old people like to watch them, too.

They think the show is too slow and too long. Do you like soap operas? What do you think of them?

Each time when you say "Hi!" or smile at someone, say to yourself "You can make it." Keep trying and one day you'll never feel shy when you talk to others.

Don't play a computer game or watch TV by yourself. Ask your mom and dad to play with you, go outside together, play a game, or read a book loudly. Try to spend more time together.

You're not staying in a hotel, so don't make your friend's home like a hotel. When you're not in your room, you should make your things in order（整齐）.

If you want to enjoy your vacation, take good care of yourselves. Give your body some rest. Get enough sleep and healthy food.

It can help you to see other's healthy eating habits. If you usually eat with your parents, you will find that the food you eat is more delicious.

What will our life be like in 100 years? No one can truly know the answer, but we are sure that it will be very different from the life today. My brother David makes some predictions. Here are some of his ideas.

First, people will have less work to do. People will spend most of their time playing sports and traveling. So people will become stronger and healthier, and they will live longer as well.

Second, computers will control the cars and people don't need to drive. So there will be fewer and fewer traffic accidents on the road. Planes will be very popular, and most people would like to take a plane for their trips. As for robots, they'll be very popular with human beings. Every family will have a robot. Robots will do dangerous and heavy work for people.

Third, people will be able to live in the sea, on the moon or on other planets. The earth won't be crowded or noisy any more. So there will be much place for people to plant trees. There will be less pollution, and the air will become much fresher.

Finally, water shortage (短缺) will become one of the most serious problems. If we don't save water now, people will start wars for water in 100 years.
