    Everyone likes living in a clean and comfortable environment. If the environment is bad, it will affect（影响）our body, and make us not feel well. Sometimes we may be terribly ill. At that time we don't want to work, and we have to stay in bed and rest at home. So the environment is very important to us.

    It's germs that makes us ill. There are germs everywhere. They are very small and you can't find them with your own eyes, but you can see them with a microscope（显微镜）. They are very small and there may be hundreds of them on a very small thing. Germs can always be found in dirty water. When we look at dirty water under the microscope, we shall see them in it. Germs can also be found in air and dust（灰尘）. If you cut your finger, some of the dust from the floor may go into it, and you will have much pain in it.     To keep us healthy, we should try to our best to make our environment become cleaner and tidier. This needs us to act together.

    Americans think a lot about time. From childhood they learn to value (珍惜) time. As children, they are taught to be on time to go to school, to do work and to do everything. When they are having a good time, they say that time flies. When a person is dying, they say he is living on borrowed(借) time.

    Time is money. Time is knowledge(知识). Time is everything in America. A working American has to work hard for 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week. This is the working time. In his free time, he also works hard for more money. Even Saturday and Sunday are filled with activities . In the street you can hardly see a man who walks slowly. They walk very fast. In fact, they are running.

    They love time because time brings them money, comforts (舒服) and progress (进步). But sometimes they also hate（恨） time, for they feel they have become servants of the clock.

    When you have a different opinion with your friend, what should you do? One of the ways is to talk to your friend and tell him or her how you're feeling. It's always important to share your feelings with your friend.

    Of course, sometimes friends do drift apart. As we grow older, our interests change and sometimes this means that a friendship may not be as close as it once was. This also means that you, too, may find a different group of friends to spend time with.

    Then what should you do to keep friends? One helpful thing is to be sure you let others know you like them. Smile, talk to them, listen with interest and praise (称赞) them for the things you like about them. People naturally like to make friends with the people who understand and enjoy them.

    It's also important to remember that you should always be yourself. Sometimes when you focus on "keeping friends", you might begin to do things or act in some ways that aren't normally part of your personality (个性). What's more, if your friend is unfriendly to you, that doesn't mean you should become unkind to other people. If keeping a friendship means you have to become someone who you aren't, that friendship isn't worth keeping.

    I am studying in a school now. I like reading, too, but my dream is quite different. My dream is to be a teacher in West China. Many(child) there want to go to school but they can't.
