    I have two older brothers, Matt and Martin. They love me very much. Perhaps it is because I am the 1 child and the only sister they have.

    Both Matt and Martin have thick and dark hair. They look alike (相像) with 2 short hairdos (发型) and big eyes. They are also very tan (晒黑的) because they enjoy outdoor 3 . His mother would go after him, expecting him to keep falling, but he never fell. It took him a while to make the jump from walking to playing football, but he did make it. And, in fact, there's nothing he loves more than playing football. In his school, the skillful youngster (年轻人) is not only the best player in his school team but also the captain of his gym team.

    He knows that his disability means he'll never be able to play for a professional football team. So Gabriel is hoping that football will one day become a Paralympics (残疾人奥运会的) sport. He proved (证明) to everyone there he could go head to head with any other boy. Watching him play is unbelievable. He's fast and he's got a big bag of tricks—he's very skilled and he does everything he can to copy his hero, Messi so much that he is invited to go to Spain to meet his hero Messi and show his talent in the Barcelona Football Club．

    His coach says he is proving the disability only exists (存在) inside our heads and he is challenging the social norms.

    The Notting Hill is only a small area in west London, but the Notting Hill Carnival (诺丁山狂欢节) attracts millions of people from all over the world to have fun. The carnival is at the end of August each year, and the main days are Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.

    The festival started as a local West Indian event, but from a small procession (游行) through the streets of Notting Hill, it's a huge multi-cultural arts festival now. In fact, it is the largest street carnival (嘉年华会; 狂欢节) in Europe. Only the Rio Carnival in Brazil is bigger.

    At the heart of the festival is a spectacular (壮观的) parade (游行). The carnival route (路线) is three miles long and hundreds of groups move along it. There's music, decorated floats, elaborated costumes and dancing. There are also live stages where artists from all over the world perform, but there is a lot more to the festival than just music. There are 300 food stalls selling international food so you can't get hungry. There's theatre, arts and crafts, too.

    You can sing and dance or you can just watch. But there's no need to be quiet.

    You can buy whistles and blow them to make lots of noise! The Notting Hill Carnival welcomes visitors and tourists.

    Each year on Feb 21, UNESCO(联合国教科文组织) holds an International Mother Language Day (IMLD). The event is to help people to pay attention to the disappearance of the world's languages; many of them are disappearing each year. UNESCO sees this as a terrible fact.

    What happens when a language dies out? Something great is lost-not just sounds and marks but the way that people understand the world and communicate with each other. We keep different cultures and traditions through languages. Kill a language and all these are killed too.

    Through IMLD, more and more people come to realize he terrible situation and try to stop it.

    Google's 2018 Endangered (濒临灭绝的) Languages Project is a good example. Many speakers and protectors of endangered languages upload (上传 ) texts, audios and videos to the project website. They want to introduce the way that people communicate and express themselves around the world.

    The Miami Project is the same kind of effort to revive the language spoken by the Miami tribes (部落) of the United States. Project members work to encourage people to study and communicate with this language, which died out in the 1960s.

    These activities give life to those endangered languages. People who work to keep Languages alive are not limited to the past. Many young people design apps and use social media to support their activities. They "spread the word " to save the world.

    So, while the problem of disappearing languages remains a very serious one, there is hope. We all have a special feeling of our mother language. This is why we should remember the wise words of late president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela: "If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to a man in his own language, that goes to his heart. "

    Smart wristband(智能手环), a new welcoming product, is changing our lifestyle.  And there are also many different brands to choose, such as Apple or Huawei.

    Here are the reasons why people choose a wristband.

     The wristband can also be connected to the mobile phone. You are able to use it to answer the phone, but a traditional watch can never do that.

    Besides, the smart wristband looks fascinating. We often see teenagers wearing wristbands.

    Thirdly, at present many people have realized the importance of health. Some people play sports every day to keep healthy.  The wristband shows the results every day and you'll know whether you achieve your aim or not. However, some parents are still against using it.  They think the teenagers are under the radiation(辐射) all the time.

    Each coin has two sides.Use it or not, it's up to you.

    Homework is a problem for students all over the world. As a student, you have a lot of homework to do every day. . And it helps you understand important knowledge. Luckily, there're several things you can do to make homework less difficult.

    . Write your homework down in your notebook if you need to. Don't be afraid to ask questions about it. Understand why you should do your homework.

    . Many schools have study halls. The students can study there. It's more interesting to play with your friends. But the more homework you finish at school, the less you'll have to do that night at home.

    . It is difficult to hold your attention for too long. So take some breaks while doing your homework. Taking a 15-minute break every hour is a good idea for most people.

    . If you don't finish your homework at school, think about how much you have left. It's a good idea to make a homework plan, especially when you want to enjoy sports or other activities.

    Florence Nightingale was a nurse who saved many people in the 19th century. She was named after the city of Florence in Italy.

    Florence was an (usual) young woman for her time, because she didn't want to go to parties or get married. She wanted to be a nurse and help people. Her family (not) want her to become a nurse because hospitals back then were dirty, horrible places.

    the age of thirty-one, Florence went to Germany and learned all about nursing. It was hard work, she loved it.

    In 1854, lots of British soldiers went to fight in the Crimean War. Army hospitals were filled with injured people, but there (be) no nurses and many soldiers died. Florence and a team of nurses went to help.
