    How can we students keep ourselves safe? Here are some tips.

    On your way home or to school: Wait for the  traffic light, and look left and right before you cross the road. If you see a car coming, don't cross until it really  . Dress in bright colors, so the drivers can  you clearly.

    At school: When students around you begin to push, try to hold onto（抓住） something, or stay in a safer corner. you fall down in a crowded place, cover your head both hands.

    When there's a fire: Stay calm and leave quickly. Use a piece of wet cloth to cover your mouth and nose so that you don't breathe in smoke. If your catch fire, drop them to the ground and roll from side to side to  out the fire.

    For eating: Wash  like apples or pears carefully before you eat them. Check the expiration dates（保质期） and if your food looks or smells , don't eat it.

    For taking the escalator（自动扶梯）: Hold onto the handrails（扶手） and stand on the right side because right arms are stronger. It is  to run up and down on them. You may fall down and hurt yourself.

    Whatwill the weather be like? Some people say they can know what the weather willbe like from birds. If they see birds fly high out to the sea, they know it isa nice day. Because birds don't like to fly out when it will rain. When theweather will be bad, the birds come back to the beach. A big wind may come witha rain. Birds do not like to fly in a big wind. They may sit in a tree whenrain is coming. Other animals can also tell the weather. If it's a cloudy dayand the rain is coming, chickens aren't quiet, and they are running here andthere.     Atfour in the afternoon the train arrived at the station. I saw my grandpastanding outside when I got off（下车）. He was happy when he saw me. His village is aboutone kilometer from the station so we walked there. I looked around and foundthe mountains were high and green. I thought I could have a good time there.

    This year during the Spring Festival, we travelled to Thailand. We stayed at the First Hotel for five days. On the first day,  It was very funny.

    On that morning, because our guide told us that we must get together at 7:25 and the restaurant was open at half past six. But when we came into the restaurant at 6:40,

    Then we had breakfast and finished it at 6：50. Because there was almost no food for us, we just ate congee（粥）.

    Then we waited for our guide. So we called him. We asked him why he didn't appear（出现） at 7:30. He heard that and laughed, then he said, "It is only 5:30 now!"

    We made a mistake about the time.  So we got up about one hour earlier. But in fact the time in Thailand is later than the time in China! So that morning, we got up at four o'clock of the Thailand's time!
