Global warming (全球变暖) is a big problem and it makes the Earth sick. So, what can we do to protect the Earth? Here are some ways of helping our beautiful Earth.

First, we should use energy wisely. Summer is coming and the weather becomes hot. Many people turn on the air conditioner (空调) to keep cool. But using the air conditioner too much is not good for the environment. Turn off the air conditioner while you are sleeping at night or when you are away during the daytime.

Recycling (回收利用) can also save the Earth. Glass, bottles and newspapers can all be recycled. This way may make less pollution, and save more money.

Try to use less water. Turn off the shower while you are washing your hair. Use the water to water flowers after you finish washing. Ask people to stop throwing rubbish into rivers and lakes.

Planting trees is also a good way to help the Earth. So, why don't we plant as many trees as possible? Trees help keep the air clean and fresh by giving off oxygen (氧气). They can keep everything around them cool in hot seasons.

In fact, there are many things we can do in our daily life. If everyone can understand the importance of saving the Earth and do something small to help, our Earth will be better.

    Venice is well-known for its places of interest, natural beauty and culture. It is in the north-east of Italy.

    The city is famous all over the world for its canals (运河). It has about118 islands. About 177 canals and over 400 bridges connect (连接)the islands.

    When you are in Venice, don't miss the places of interest such as bridge of Sighs and the Grand Canal. There are a number of famous places in the city, including museums, palaces and churches. Venice is an international (国际的) city. Many important events are often held here. The Venice Art Biennale is one of the most important events in the world.

    Why not start to plan a trip to Venice this time?

    Chinese people believe that a full moon stands for family reunions (团聚). So on the Mid-Autumn Festival, people look at the Moon and feel happy about a united family.

    But do you know there are many interesting stories about the Moon?

    In China, Chang'e flying to the Moon is a famous legend. Houyi and Chang'e were husband and wife. One day, Houyi got a magic pill. Being curious, Chang'e took the pill herself. Her body became light and she flew to the Moon. She had to stay there forever.

    In Greek legend, Artemis is the goddess of the Moon. She takes care of the hunt and animals. In India, the god of the Moon is Soma. Soma has four hands. If a baby is born on a full moon day, Indian people believe he or she is lucky.
