Its name is "Bike for a Better City" They say if more people ride bikes to work, there will be fewer cars and less air pollution. They want to solve the problem of air pollution.

The members in the group always try to get help for the bike riders. They want to build roads for bikes only because it's not safe for bike riders to use the same roads with car drivers. Members of "Bike for a Better City" think that if there are bike roads, more people will ride bikes to work. They are working hard for this thought.

But there aren't any bike roads now. In the city, not everyone thinks it is a good idea to build bike roads because it costs much money and time. And car drivers don't like the idea, either. Because many people live too far away from their working places, they can't go to work by bike.

    My grandfather Jack is 96 years old, and he has an interesting life. He has travelled a lot in his life in the Far East. He visited the Taj Mahal in India and the Pyramids, in Egypt. He hunted (狩猎) lions in Africa, and rode a camel in the Sahara Desert. He says the most beautiful place he has travelled to is Kathmandu in Nepal.

    Jack has married twice. His first wife died when she was 32. He met his second wife Maria while he' was cycling round France. They have been married for 50 years, and they have lived happily in a small village since they got married.

    Jack says that he has never been ill in his life. The secret of good health, according to my grandfather, is exercise. He goes swimming every morning. He has done this since he was a boy. He also has a glass of wine every night! Perhaps that is his secret!

    Before Monica goes to bed, she looks out of her window and sees the Moon. The Moon looks so beautiful. "I wish I could get the Moon," thinks Monica. But no matter (无论) how hard she tries, she cannot get the Moon. "Papa," Monica says to her father, "please get the Moon for me."

    Papa gets a very long ladder (梯子). He carries the very long ladder to a very high mountain. Then Papa puts the very long ladder on top (顶部) of it. Up and up he climbs. At last, Papa gets to the Moon.

    "My daughter Monica would like to play with you, but you are much too big," says Papa.

    "Every night I get a little smaller," says the Moon. "When I am just the right size, you can take me with you." After a few days, Papa takes it. Down and down he climbs.

    "Here," Papa says to Monica, "I have the Moon for you." Monica jumps and dances with the Moon. But the Moon keeps getting smaller and smaller. And at last, it disappears. Then, one night, Monica sees a small Moon come out. Each night the Moon grows, grows and grows.
