    Thanksgiving Day was near. The first-grade teacher asked1students to draw a picture of something that they were thankful for. People celebrated the holiday2turkey( 火鸡) and other traditional food of the season. So, most of her students' pictures were about them.

    Willow Shields is an American film and television actress. She was born on June 1st, 2000 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has a twin sister and an elder brother. Willow is a very beautiful girl. She has golden hair, big eyes and sweet smiles.

    Willow got her first job in 2008 and she acted in a 7 一 minute short film with her sister. In the film, she plays the role of a little girl watching a gun fight. Her most famous role is Prim in the film The Hunger Games. She worked hard for the film and she read the book carefully before acting. Willow did so well that the director said, "It's so exciting to find an amazing young actress like her. We're very lucky to have her." Shields continued in her role until November, 2015, when the final of four films in The Hunger Games series came out.

    Because Willow is always busy, she is home schooled, She makes use of every chance to enrich herself. She especially loves reading. Besides, she is warm 一 hearted. In her free time, she often volunteers to send out food to homeless families.

    When you think of a museum, I bet you don't think of a place where children run around. But the Science Museum is different. It's noisy!

    You can get to the Science Museum by going on the London Underground from Waterloo on the Jubilee Line to Westminster. Then take the Circle or the District Line to South Kensington. When you walk out, take a look around you, and you should see it.

    What to bring: at least two bottles of drinks for the kids and f 10 to spend in the cafes. Entrance is free!

    The most interesting and exciting part of coming here is to go to the kids' area, the Launch Pad on the 3rd floor. At busy times, you may have to wait in line, but staff(工作人员) will provide science toys for you and the kids to play with. It is great fun there. And if you love science, it should indulge(满足) you as you will learn about science in a fun way. There are also simulators(模拟装置) on the 3rd floor, so think of Floor 3 as a "fun floor".

    If you want to learn about the museum, then go to the ground floor. They have some things which will interest you.

    Over all, it's a fun experience for the kids and you may enjoy it too. It's also free to get in!

    Going for a walk through the forest is my favourite part of a day. Benji loves it, too. There are rabbits to run after and flowers to smell. Benji is my dog, by the way, and I'm Grace.

    I live on a farm with my parents and I take Benji for a walk most days after school. Dad doesn't think it is a good idea for me to wark through the forest. "Don't talk to strangers," he often says. Though the truth is that there's almost no one here, just me, Benji and lots of rabbits and birds.

    One day, while Benji ran ahead, I stopped and took a photo of a beautiful butterfly that rested on a flower. A new Facebook photo? Maybe, but my friends at school usually tease me with the nickname "Nature Girl", so perhaps not. After putting my phone away, I heard Benji barking along the path. Benji usually barks to say hello, and he wouldn't hurt anyone. But of course, other people don't know that. Benji was barking and jumping round a boy. He was holding some wood in his arms and looked worried.

    "Benji, stop! Come here!" I shouted. I reached into my bag for Benji's ball. I was about to say sorry to the boy, but he had gone.

    I used to have a lot of problems and I always tried them. I used. to do badly in English. To fix it, I read English newspapers and went to the school English corner to improve it. Now I'm quite good at it. I used to be weak. To fix it, I ate right and a sports club. Now I'm strong and healthy. I used to be afraid of speaking in public. To fix it, I took part in all kinds of school Now I'm outgoing and everyone likes making friends with me. But now I have a problem that I can't fix. I have the ugliest nose in the whole world! It's not only fat but also big! I want to have a nose job (鼻子整形), but how can I get my parents to agree?

Dear Ann,

    It sounds like you're a really proactive (积极主动的) person, always fixing problems. That's good, but when it comes to things like your nose. you have to stop. It sounds to me that you're looking for things that are wrong with your body. That's very dangerous. Also, I'd like to point out that nobody is perfect. A nose doesn't reflect who you are, so there's no for you to feel bad about yourself at all.

    In my opinion, as a student, you should pay more attention to your schoolwork your looks.

    Jean is a bright young girl who comes from a rich and famous family. But the problem is that (每个人) in Jean's family is so busy that they can hardly find time to be with her. They often leave her alone at home during holidays. (事实上)，Jean is quite lonely. and (不开心的). So Jean spends a lot of time on her QQ. She uses the name Linda on QQ and has made a lot of friends who she keeps in (接触) with quite often.  Last year Jean made a very special friend on QQ His name was David and he lived in San Francisco. But when she arrived at the (地址) that he gave and knocked on David's door in San Francisco, she found that her special friend was a twelve year-old boy named Jim!

    Pakistani girl Malala Yousafzai is the youngest ever to win the Nobel Peace Prize. She has become the voice of girls throughout the world.

Born in Swat Valley in Pakistan in 1997, Malala lived a quiet life until 2009, when the Taliban(塔利班), an Islamic organization of violence(暴力) took control of her village.   ①   . They believed educating girls was against Islam. But Malala didn't agree. She wouldn't give up her education and kept going to school.   ②    "What is wrong with us girl students? We want all girls to get their schools back," she wrote. Her hard work encouraged many young girls in Swat Valley.
