    Rob Frenette had problems with bullies(欺辱) at school for eleven years. He was often lonely and scared. When he was fifteen, however, he decided to do something about his problems. He walked into a newspaper office and told them about the bullying. His story went into the newspaper and soon all the TV stations in Canada wanted to talk to him about his experiences. They also wanted to hear his ideas to stop bullying.

    After that, Rob continued his studies at school, but in his free time he helped other people with bullying problems. With a friend Katie Neu, he made a website called www. bullyingcanada. ca. Visitors to the website can find advice, stories and poems about bullying, in both English and French. When people are upset, they can talk on the phone or online to Rob and his team . Every weekend Rob has to answer e-mails to the website. He also speaks to children, teachers and members of government around the country about bullying.

    Rob's most important message is: "When bullies are unkind to you, it isn't your fault. There's nothing wrong with you, so you should try to keep trusting yourself. And remember that people care about your problems. You just have to find those people."

    One of Rob's ideas is "Blue Day", a special day for stopping bullying in schools. Students have to wear blue clothes and in class they learn how to stop bullying. More than 150 Canadian schools now celebrate Blue Day, but Rob won't stop until there's a Blue Day in every school in Canada.

    Do you like running, biking or swimming? They are all forms of aerobic exercise(有氧运动) Aerobic exercise has lots of benefits. For example, people who often get aerobic exercise normal live three to four years longer than those who do not.

    Nowadays, people get less aerobic exercise than ever before. One of the problems is television. In the United States,for example,the average(普通的) person watches four hours of TV a day, but only spends 27 minutes doing physical activities! A lot of doctors are worried about that and they say people who do not exercise are more likely to be tired, unhappy or sick.

    Schools are trying to solve this problem by teaching kids to exercise when they are young. P E. is a subject that is required in schools. It teaches students how to play, eat and exercise properly. Through the subject, teachers and parents hope that their kids can learn good exercise habits when they are young, and continue them when they get older.

    Aerobic exercise is now being promoted at work.A lot of companies have found that people are more quick-minded and creative in their jobs if they often get aerobic exercise. For this reason, many companies are now organizing sports programs, providing exercise rooms. Etc.

    How do you exercise? There are many fun and exciting forms of aerobic exercise. Finding one that you like will give you the best chance of having a long and healthy life.

    Who is smarter, human being or artificial intelligence(AI, 人工智能)? The question swept the world a few months ago. In March 2016, AlphaGo, an AI program developed by Google, had the Go(围棋) match with Lee Sedol, a South Korean Go player. He is the world top player of this old Chinese game.

    In October 2015, AlphaGo became the first computer program to beat a professional(职业的) human Go player. And this time, it beat Lee Sedol 4-1.

    In fact, before the match, most people believed that Lee would certainly be the winner, because they didn't think that AI was good enough to beat the human mind. However, the result was disappointing. As a machine, AlphaGo would never get tired, while Lee Sedol was only a human and humans must have some weaknesses.

    AlphaGo's wins over a human champion(冠军) show that computers can do more difficult tasks. Some people may worry whether computers are now smart enough to beat us at everything. But scientists say that is not the case. Real life problems can be more difficult than the Go game. Thomas Johnson, a scientist of AI said, "It's not hard to get a computer program to remember and produce facts. What is hard is getting computers to use knowledge in everyday situation. " We believe we can use the technology of AI to improve the world.

    In many countries, tattoos are in fashion (时尚). On TV you can often see a famous actor or musician with a tattoo on his arm or foot. Many sports players have them, too. In the US, tattoos are very popular. Forty percent of Americans aged between 26 and 40 have a tattoo, and 60 percent of customers in US tattoo parlors are women. These people are often professional people like doctor, teachers and lawyers.

    However, tattoos are not modern. In fact, they are very old in human history. For example, archaeologists (考古学家) found a human in ice from 5,000 years ago. He had 57 tattoos on his back, ankles, legs, knees and feet. Tattoos were used for many different reasons. In ancient Egypt, people got tattoos because they were "beautiful". But in ancient Rome, tattoos were negative (负面的) and put on criminals and prisoners. In India, tattoos were religious (宗教的).

    In the 16^th and 17^th century, European sailors (船员) arrived on the islands of Polynesia. They saw tattoos for the first time. The people on the islands had tattoos on their shoulders, chests, backs and legs. Often the tattoos were of animals or natural features like a river or a mountain. The European sailors liked them and made their own tattoos, so the idea traveled to Europe. Tattoos in Polynesia are still important today. They show information about a person's history, their island or their job.

    So is there a connection (联系) between traditional tattoos and fashionable tattoos? And can you call tattoos a fashion? Chris Rainier is an expert in tattoos and his book Ancient Marks has photos of tattoos from all over the world. He thinks people in modern societies often have tattoos because they are a connection to the traditional world. But tattoos aren't a fashion like clothes or a haircut because you can't put them on and take them off again like a jacket or a hat. They are permanent (永久的) and for life.

    The Internet is a great place to meet new people and find information. However, it's important to pay attention to the p formation you share and the people you communicate with online.  

    Think before you post(发帖).

    It's fun to share photos with your friends, but don't post photos of yourself where strangers can see them. Check your privacy settings(隐私设置).

    Protect your personal information.

    We use passwords to enter a lot of websites. And we often need to register at those sites, using personal information. But be careful!

     So, make sure you don't share your passwords with anyone.What's more, choose passwords carefully and change them often.

    Think twice before you communicate with strangers.

    There are a lot of great people communicating on the Internet.

      If you receive e-mails from someone you don't know, think carefully before you reply. And if someone invites you to meet somewhere, tell your parents about it before you make a decision.

    Be careful when you open attachments(附件).

    Someone you don't know might send you an e-mail with an attachment that has a computer virus . A virus can cause all kinds of trouble. It can stop your computer from working.  So never open a file or message from someone you don't know! Be safe by hitting "Delete" instead.

    So have fun when you use the Internet. But remember to stay safe!

    As a new teacher at Doull Primary School in Denver, Kyle Schwartz thought of a simple way to get to know her third graders, most of whom came from 1 families. She asked them to complete the 2 "I wish my teacher knew…" and share something about themselves.
