    I decided to add some positive energy into my classroom. I asked the students to write out what they were thinking of by answering "questions of the month" in their diaries. I wrote down two questions on the blackboard outside my office. And then I started seeing some amazing ideas and answers to those questions.

    Here are some of the answers that are worth sharing. Sad to me, most of the answers are things which many of the adults, including me, have forgotten or don't notice.

    My first question: If you had a million dollars, what would you use it for? The following are their answers.

—I would give it back to my city. So I could make it a better place to live in.

—I would buy food for my family, so my parents could enjoy some free time to take a rest.

—I would give it back to the school so that teachers could buy books, pencils and better food for their students.

—I would give money to children without parents, those in need, and the charity that would buy houses for the homeless.

My second question: What does someone do for you that helps you most? The following are their answers which move me.

—My grandma helps me with my homework.

—My teacher helps me learn what I didn't know, and I thank her.

—MY family care about me, love me and give me no matter what I want. I love them!

—My mum, she's always there to remind me of how great I am. My dad supports me!

As a teacher, I love my students, and I learn that they all have a heart of gold.

    Two brothers took a trip in the forest together. At noon they took a rest and fell asleep. When they woke up, they saw a stone next to them. There were words written on the stone: Let whoever finds this stone go into me forest. In the forest a river will appear. Let him swim across the river to the other side. There he will see a bear and her baby. Let him take the baby from her and run up the mountain with them. On the top of the mountain he will find happiness."

    The younger brother did all the things. When he reached the top of the mountain, the people came out of their houses to meet him and made him their king. He had been a king for five years. In the sixth year, another king captured his country. The younger brother became an ordinary man again.

    One day, the younger brother arrived at the house of his elder brother. The elder brother was living m a village, neither rich nor poor. "You see," said the elder brother, "l was right. Though you may have been a king, you have nothing now.

    "I don't think so," replied the younger brother. "I may have nothing now, but I shall always have something to remember, but you have no memories at all."

    According to the World Happiness Report, people who live in Denmark (丹麦) are the happiest in the world. Why? Because they know the secret to happiness — "hygge". But what is "hygge"?

    The Danish (丹麦的) word "hygge" (pronounced "hoo—ga") is often translated in English as "coziness". But coziness paints only part of the picture. It's also about spending peaceful time in a quiet environment with no calendar. It's about spending time alone or spending time with family. Danish people are very good at "hygge". For example, they create a "hygge" environment by burning candles in classrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, etc. According to some reports, Danish people burn more candles every year than people from any other European country.

    However, "hygge" isn't just about creating a nice and warm environment. It is best enjoyed with family members and friends. With up to 17 hours of darkness every day in winter, Danish people spend more time indoors as a result, and they often get together for a meal or hot drinks, without the distraction (干扰) of technology or the stress of daily life.

    Still can't understand what "hygge" is? If you're reading this in a comfortable chair, with a few candles around you, that sense of coziness you're feeling might just be "hygge".

    "You can safely lose 3 or more pounds a week with a healthy diet and lots of exercise, "says weight loss consultant Dr Katherine.

    If you burn 500 more calories than you eat every day for a week, you could lose about 1-2 pounds. If you want to lose weight faster, you'll need to eat less and exercise more.

    For example, if you take in 1,050 to 1,200 calories a day, and exercise for one hour per day, you could 1ose 3-5 pounds in the first week.

    For healthy eating habits to help people lose weight, Dr Katherine recommends eating a diet that reduces starch (淀粉). Sugar and animal fat from meat and dairy foods should be added to your daily diet. For a fast weight loss, Dr Katherine also recommends focusing on fruits, vegetables, egg whites, soy products, chicken, fish, seafood, nonfat dairy foods, and meat with less than 10％ of fat.

    Eat vegetables to help you feel full.

    Drink plenty of water.

    Get fast food out of your home.

    Stay busy—you may want to eat just when you're bored.

    Keep a food journal. Write down everything you eat can also help you keep a healthy diet. The act of writing it down is about being responsible to yourself and is a very effective method for weight loss.

    Besides taking notes of what and when you ate, you might also want to note how you were feeling right before you ate it. Were you angry, sad, or bored? We often focus so much on foods and calories, but our feelings are a huge part of our eating habits. For example, people may eat much more than they need when they are angry. It can be a big help for losing weight if you can control your feelings before you start to eat.

    A growing number of "silent cafes" appear across Japan. People can't talk in the cafe. They can write down what they need on the pad to communicate the cafe workers. This kind of cafes meets the need of people like to be alone for a while.

    Chihiro, a 23-year-old nurse, is one of the big fans of silent cafes. "It's a pleasure to sit somewhere quietly by (I)," she said. "I work as a nurse and life is so busy that sometimes I just want to escape." She continued, "This is amazing place (help) me find some peace. I feel (comfort) here."

    Taiki Watanabe, the owner of a silent cafe, used to work in another cafe. "I really like the idea of (open) a silent cafe. Now I enjoy working in (silent) all me time." Mr Watanabe added, "You cannot speak in my café. If you need to make an order, there are pads to write on. Most people come their own and read a book, work, write or enjoy a hobby. Few of them even do nothing. It's a way for people to forget their daily tasks. Everyone (be) happy with the quiet environment in the café."
